“We acknowledge this in every way and everywhere … with all gratitude.” Acts 22; 24:3
On Sunday, January 29, 2023, Tera Hilliard, President/CEO of Forgotten Children, Inc. (FCI), will join us after 9 am Mass to thank St. Lawrence Martyr Parishioners for their generosity.
In May 2022, F.A.I.T.H. Ministry raised over $35,000 through donations from parishioners and the greater South Bay community to support FCI’s mission to rescue, restore, educate and bring hope to victims of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation. As a result of F.A.I.T.H. Ministry’s fundraising, Forgotten Children, Inc. plans to name their new commercial kitchen and a re-furbished bedroom at their residential housing facility, Rachel’s House of Healing, after St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church F.A.I.T.H. Ministry.
Human Trafficking is impacting our community at alarming rates. FCI’s goal is to raise awareness and create culturally sensitive programs and services to provide survivors with the tools they need to walk in complete freedom and wholeness.
Ms. Hilliard shares that Forgotten Children, Inc. believes God has anointed them to preach good tidings to the poor and to proclaim liberty to those who are bound. (Isaiah 61).
